Hilton Santa Monica Hotel & Suites

We had a very pleasant stay at the Hilton Santa Monica as a family of four with two children. The location is very good. The hotel is not directly on the beach, but Santa Monica Beach and the pier can be reached on foot in around 15 minutes. The hotel is also conveniently located for shopping, especially Third Street Promenade. We also walked to Target several times to buy water and other everyday items, which was very convenient. The hotel itself is well maintained, and our room was clean, modern and comfortable. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was included in our booking, although we did not use it. We were told that gluten-free options could be provided in the restaurant, but since we did not personally try them, we cannot comment on how suitable or safe they would be for someone with celiac disease. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend the Hilton Santa Monica, especially for families. The only minor downside is that the hotel is not directly on the beach, but for us the 15–20 minute walk was absolutely manageable and not really a problem.

The location is close to everything. I walk to Venice beach from here too. The facility is well taken care of and clean. You can valet or self park across the street. Now the most important part, every single staff member I’ve interacted with is amazing. Kind, welcoming, and helpful. I stay at Hilton for all work travel and they definitely stand out here. Great staff. For them alone I’d stay there!

We picked this hotel for it's location near Santa Monica pier, and because they had rooms available with two beds + a sofa bed to accommodate our family of five. The front desk staff were super friendly, and the location was good. I was a bit worried about feeling safe in the area after reading other reviews, but we experienced zero issues - the area felt completely safe to us. The kids enjoyed the pool, which also had a nice deck for parents to relax on. The room was a little bit tired, but it didn't impact the quality of our stay. Overall this hotel did the job, and I'd come back if we're in the area again
